What Won't
Ben Bius Say
to Get Elected?

Ben Bius has run for
office SIX TIMES and
lost EVERY TIME.

He’s desperate to be somebody and he’ll say anything to win this time. Let’s reject Ben Bius’s lies and show him that integrity matters.

Bius Lie #1

“Trey Wharton ‘led the charge’ on a $127 million tax increase.”

The Truth:

While Trey was serving as president of the Huntsville ISD school board, voters overwhelmingly adopted a $127 bond package with 70% in favor.

Ben Bius has admitted that he voted for this bond.

Trey Wharton governed as a conservative on the Huntsville ISD school board, lowering the property tax rate by 27% during his service.

Bius Lie #2

“Trey didn’t use any of the $127 million dollars on pay raises for teachers.”

The Truth:

It is illegal to use bond money for salaries and benefits.

Ben Bius knows this, but he’s willing to say anything to confuse and mislead voters.

Trey Wharton actually led the charge to provide pay raises and bonuses for teachers and staff as a school board member and was successful in securing these pay increases seven out of the eight years he served.

Bius Lie #3

“Donald Trump’s ‘Team’ is supporting Ben for HD 12.”

The Truth:

Ben is desperate to convince voters that Donald Trump wants him in office, yet President Trump has never endorsed him or even mentioned him.

Ben knows this but hopes he can confuse enough voters to think that Trump is backing him. As Trump would say, “SAD!”

Trey Wharton is endorsed by Governor Greg Abbott, who President Trump has said is on his short list for Vice President in 2024.

Bius Lie #4

“Trey Wharton does not support ending Democrats chairing committees in the Texas House.”

The Truth:

Another whopper from Ben! Trey Wharton is on the record, before Ben Bius even filed for this office, opposing Democrat chairman in the Republican-controlled Texas House.

Ben knows this but he’ll just say anything!

Trey Wharton opposes sharing power with Democrats. Republican voters sent Republican legislators to govern our state and they deserve Republican leadership!

Bius Lie #5

“Trey Wharton supports Dade Phelan for Speaker.”

The Truth:

Ben Bius knows that Trey Wharton has repeatedly said it is time for new leadership in the Texas House, but he’ll say anything to mislead voters.

Trey Wharton is ready on day one to support a new Texas House Speaker and leadership team that puts Republicans fully in control of the Texas House of Representatives.

Bius Lie #6

“Trey Wharton is ‘bankrolled’ by ‘Mega Donor Democrats.'”

The Truth:

This one is just sad. The single donation Ben is referring to is a one-time $200 contribution from Trey’s former Sunday school teacher and long-time family friend.

Even worse, Ben solicited support from the same person for this race himself, once again demonstrating that he will say anything to win.

Bius Lie #7

“Trey Wharton ‘lied about his support of school choice’ to earn the Governor’s support.”

The Truth:

Trey has never wavered on his position: parents are the best educators and decision-makers for their kids and should have more options to pick the best environment for learning. And we can do that while taking care of our public schools, which are critically important to our HD 12 communities.

Trey signed onto the resolution in question before the final Senate plan was unveiled. After the Senate’s plan was revealed, Trey felt confident the legislature was empowering parents and keeping our public schools strong. A win for all Texans.

The Governor continues to stand with Trey and trusts only him to deliver this big win next session for Texas.

Bius Lie #8

“Trey Wharton allowed transgender ideology into our schools.”

The Truth:

This is simply a bald-faced lie.

Trey is a devoted Believer and Christ-follower who believes that each of us was made in the Image of God. Trey rejects radical woke ideologies on race and gender, and would never allow it into our public schools.

There is no low to where Ben Bius will go to try to win.
